As part of its customer service program,
Pilmico recently conducted a “Customer First Baking Seminar” in
Lucena at the JM Tsuki Restaurant last April 23, 2005 which was
attended by more than 80 bakers from Cavite to as far as Marinduque.

Pilmico Baking Consultant Linda Ferrer and
Technical Service Supervisor Richard Robles showed the crowd how to
prepare Cobble Stone Bread, Moist Chocolate Cake, Cinnamon Leaf
Bread, Cream Bread, Bag Out Cookies and Ensaymada using assorted
Pilmico products - from Pilmico’s various fortified flour brands,
yeast and other bakery ingredients. Eager participants were also
given a chance to dip their hands in the baking experience as Chef
Linda invited some of the participants to come forward and help her
in her baking preparations.

Bureau of Food and Drugs representative Evelyn Carpio also talked
about the government’s food fortification program, called Sangkap
Pinoy Seal Program, which encourages all food manufacturers to
fortify their products with essential nutrients at levels approved
by the Department of Health. She also urged the participants to buy
only products bearing the Sangkap Pinoy Seal, like Pilmico flour
products.
All participants were able to partake of the baked goodies
presented. Some of the more lucky bakers were able to take home some
freebie items such as Pilmico Dough Cutters, Pilmico String Bags and
Pilmico Shirts as a reward for their active participation in said
event. It was indeed a “Customer First “ experience in Lucena.
