The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) of Cebu City recently accorded the CY 2003 Super Grower Award to Pilmico Foods Corporation. The Aboitiz-owned flour milling company was recognized for its “…unqualified support to the country’s economic developmental efforts.”

Pilmico was considered as one of the country’s Top Large Taxpayers that posted a significant increase in its income tax due for the taxable year 2002.

In a special feature on Cebu’s growing economy, one of the local dailies’ also cited Pilmico’s thriving business as the flour company ranked number six in the Top 10 Corporations in Cebu according to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
