Pilmico Foods Corporation and Pilmico Mauri foods Corporation together with sponsors Goodman Fielder and Joe Kuan Corporation brought it Bakery Training program from Iligan to Manila for one-day Diamond Bakery Training to at the Asian Baking Institute last July 16, 2005 attended by more than 50 participants ranging from its bakery to industrial accounts.

Pilmico decided to bring Pilmico Baking Consultant Linda Ferrer and Technical Service Supervisor Richard Robles together with the technical representatives of the sponsors showed the crowd how to prepare Cobble Stone Bread, Moist Chocolate Cake, Cinnamon Leaf Bread, Cream Bread, Bag Out Cookies and Pizza using assorted Pilmico products - from Pilmico’s various fortified flour brands, yeast and other bakery ingredients. Technical Services Manager Lincoln Saunders presented the different products produced by Pilmico Mauri Foods Corporation specifically its Baker’s Yeast and Bread Improver division. All participants were able to bring home the baked goodies they made.

Pilmico also offers a free two-week baking seminar in Iligan with its next training scheduled for September and November. The training aims to enhance the skills of Pilmico customers in both practical and technical application such as how to bake and apply scientific principles in the production of bread and other baked products. The course coverage includes Bakery Management, Bakery Science and Bakery Mathematics. It is facilitated by well-experienced Pilmico Technicians who have undergone advance technical baking training at the American Institute of Baking in Kansas, USA and the UFM Baking School in Bangkok, Thailand.
