Pilmico Foods Corporation and the Aboitiz Group Foundation, Inc. (AGFI)recently made a PhP 70,000 cheque donation to the local Gawad Kalinga Project. Like in previous years, the monetary donation will be used to buy materials for a 30-square meter housing unit that will be built in a GK Village in Barangay Lerop, Iligan City. Gawad Kalinga representative Roberto Conrado (in picture, right) is all smiles as he receives the cheque from Pilmico VP-Operations Reano Gumalo during a turnover ceremony held at the Dalipuga National High School last March 10, 2006. Construction of this Pilmico-sponsored housing unit will hopefully be completed by the end of 2006.
