Commitment
As part of its commitment to help improve the
lives of Iligan City residents, Pilmico Foods Corporation in
partnership with Aboitiz Group Foundation, Inc is now on its 12th
year of granting scholarships to financially challenged high school
graduating students belonging to the top 20% of their class with a
grade weighted average of at least 85% and no grade below 80%.
About 157 students took the scholarship entrance exam last March 11,
2006 at the Pilmico Plant in Iligan, hoping to get the five
scholarship grants that is up for grabs this year.
After a month’s long wait, Pilmico was able to
determine the five exemptional graduates by the names of : twin
sisters – Teresita Daang and Teresa Daang, Jesther Ian Gonzales,
Rosen Cano and Keith Francisco.

The scholars will be entitled to financial
subsidy inclusive of tuition fee payments, prescribed books, school
materials and uniforms. Pilmico currently has 16 scholars at the
Mindanao State University in Iligan.
