Pilmico Foods Corporation through the Aboitiz Group Foundation, Inc. (AGFI), recently donated a two-room school building to the Panalaron National High School in Tacloban, Leyte.

The school building was formally turned-over to Dr. Filemon Tamayo, DECS Region 8 Superintendent last April 28, 2003. Present during the simple turn-over ceremony were Mr. Michael Tan, Pilmico Vice President for Sales & Marketing, Mr. Allan Tanjuakio, owner of BT Marketing and Pilmico flour dealer in Tacloban, and Atty. Tristi, Tacloban City Administrator.

The school building is the 7th school building donation of Pilmico Foods and the 67th donation for the Aboitiz Group Foundation.

According to Mr. Tan, the donation reaffirms Pilmico’s commitment to help improve the quality of education in the country. This donation is also an acknowledgement for the contribution of Tacloban City to the Pilmico business, he adds.

Also present to witness the turn-over were Mr. Dionisio Habagat, School Principal, Mr. Rene Delute, Pilmico Territory Manager for Samar & Leyte and Mr. Alex Lauron, AGFI Project Manager.
