The fragrance remains in the hand of those who gives the rose. The experience of Cebu Pilmico employees, when they celebrated their 44th anniversary at the Cebu Hope Center last September 9, was indeed an unforgettable one.

Going beyond the usual generous expense on food for an anniversary celebration, Pilmico Cebu decided to share part of their budget with an institution. Cebu Hope Center, a home for physically and sexually abused children, was the sole benefactor of their noble intentions.

With heads put together, the team came up with a three-hour program for the children. This included an innovation of the famous game shows Deal or No Deal and Wowowee's Pera o Bayong. Trying to change the children's perception on money, they had educational supplies and goodies for prices. This was followed by a salo-salo of spaghetti, bread, juice and ice cream where the Pilmicans and the children truly got the chance to interact.

Everything went as planned. All because every Pilmican was willing to lend a hand. Everybody was ready to assist the other.

The afternoon ended with a sense of fulfilment in every Pilmican's heart. For them it was more than just sharing their time. It was reaching out to the hearts of those who were hurting inside. That even for a short while placed a smile on the children's faces. Indeed the fragance remained in every Pilmican who gave the rose.
