Pilmico Foods Corporation reaffirms its social commitment as it recently donated five computers and two airconditioning units to Northeast II-A Central School in Iligan City. This donation will serve to beef up the existing computer laboratory of said school.

The equipment were formally turned over to school authorities during a simple ceremony last June 28, 2007 at the school’s computer laboratory. Present during the ceremony was (in picture, left to right) DECS Elementary School Supervisor Aurora Garcia, Barangay Dalipuga Councilor Aloha Oracio, Northeast II-A Central School Principal Federico Flores, Pilmico Vice President for Operations Reano Gumalo, DECS-Iligan Superintendent Lourdes Tolod, and Pilmico's community relations team members.

Including this donation, Pilmico has already given a total of 16 computers,11 printers and 2 airconditioning units. Even with this small number of computers, they see to it that all their students undergo computer classes. During summer, the school holds computer classes to their students.

To ensure that many would benefit from these donations, Pilmico has assigned a computer teacher over the last two years to teach computer classes to the students, staff and faculty alike.

Principal Flores and DECS Superintendent Tolod expressed their utmost thanks and gratitude to Pilmico management. They promised to maximize the usage of the donations and show proof of computer knowledge through the improvement of the school's achevement test result.
