In recent years, people are becoming more and more health-conscious.  People have begun going to gyms and spas to keep fit and have become carefully selective in the food they eat.

To address the need for nutritious food, Pilmico Foods is proud to announce that all Pilmico flour products are now fortified with Vitamin A and iron.

Vitamin A plays an important role in vision, bone growth and reproduction and is essential in the formation and maintenance of healthy skin, hair, and mucous membranes.

Iron, on the other hand, functions primarily as a carrier of oxygen in the body, providing stamina and increased resistance to infection.

Pilmico’s fortification efforts are aligned with the government’s food fortification program, called Sangkap Pinoy Seal Program, encouraging food manufacturers to fortify their products with essential nutrients at levels approved by the Department of Health.

In November 2004, regional and national Sangkap Pinoy committees have visited Pilmico’s Iligan plant to observe and ensure proper fortification activities.  Soon, Pilmico flour products will proudly bear the Sangkap Pinoy seal, a compelling proof of the products’ nutritional value.
