Pilmico
Sponsors 1st Inter-School Computer Competition
One of Pilmico's thrusts in providing quality education is to expose
elementary pupils in the world of information technology. In 2005, five (5)
computer units were donated to Northeast II-A Central School and another
five (5) to Severo Sara Memorial School, both located in Dalipuga, Iligan
City. Aside from the computer units, Pilmico also provided a computer
teacher to these schools to ensure that donated equipment will be fully
utilized by its intended beneficiaries.
Flying colors for Pilmico
KSK Food Product, a snack food company that produces the famous product
brand “ Boy Bawang” has given Pilmico excellent ratings as one of the
suppliers for their products.
Pilmico Cebu staff Go Green
Pitching in on the global effort to protect the environment, a group of
employees from the Cebu office of Aboitiz-owned Pilmico Foods Corporation
headed off to the wetland sanctuary of Olango Island last April for a day of
mangrove planting.
Pilmico Hurdles HALAL Audit
The Islamic Da’wah Council of the Philippines (IDCP), the official
Islamic body that grants Halal certification to all Philippine-made
products, recently paid a visit to Pilmico Food Corporation’s Iligan plant
for the recertification of the Aboitiz flour milling unit’s products.

HACCP-Recertified
After months of preparation for the audit, Aboitiz-owned Pilmico Foods
Corporation’s Iligan plant operations is now ISO 9001:2000 and Hazard
Analysis Critical Control Point-recertified. SGS auditors Carlo Refrea and
Erwin Espiron announced Pilmico’s recertification during the closing meeting
last April 25.
Sales Technical Training
To further enhance the knowledge and technical skills of our Sales Team, a
one-day training was conducted last January 18, 2008 in Iligan by Quality
Assurance Manager, Mr. Peter Tenido. The training covered onsite complaint’s
validation and hands on baking.

bags gold
Pilmico’s Enerwrench team bagged the gold award, non-production category,
during the 27th Productivity Improvement Circles National Convention held at
Crown Regency Suites-Mactan, Cebu on September 13-14, 2007.

undergo Bakery Training
In celebration of the upcoming 45th anniversary of Pilmico Foods Corporation
(PFC), PFC management decided to treat its Cebu employees to a half-day
bakery training at the Creative Cooking and Baking Institute last August 18.
Pilmico, local
gov’t agencies hold baking seminar for agrarian reform beneficiaries
Local folks got a chance to try their hand in baking in a seminar recently
held in the town of Jimenez, Misamis Occidental last June 18 – 20. Organized
by the local office of the Department of Trade and Industry, this 3-day
seminar was conducted by Pilmico Quality Assurance staff Sam Cabanilla and
Dan Labucana.

to school computer laboratory
Pilmico Foods Corporation reaffirms its social commitment as it recently
donated five computers and two airconditioning units to Northeast II-A
Central School in Iligan City. This donation will serve to beef up the
existing computer laboratory of said school.

for exemplary CSR performance
The lligan City Government once again recognized Aboitiz flour milling
company, Pilmico Foods Corporation as the number one taxpayer of Iligan for
the manufacturing category during its 57th Adlawan sa Iligan Commemorative
Programme last June 16, 2007.

Second Batch Graduates from Pilmico Baking Center
Pilmico Foods Corporation(PFC) proudly announces the 42nd batch to graduate
from the Pilmico Baking Center in Iligan. As part of the company’s program
to intensify its customer service, Pilmico has been offering a free two-week
baking course at the Pilmico Baking Center for more than five years now.
Pilmico passes 2nd Annual ISO/HACCP Surveillance Audit
Pilmico Foods Corporation (PFC) successfully completed another ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP surveillance audit conducted by Societe Generale de Surveillance (SGS) Philippines and got recertified.
Pilmico secures P500-M loan for expansion
Pilmico Foods Corporation (PFC) recently signed a P500 million, 5-year loan with Security Bank Corporation (SBC).
Proceeds from the loan will support the company’s feedmill expansion in Iligan.
Fil-am Foods, Inc. seals deal with Secuirty Bank
Fil-Am Foods, Inc. (FFI), an Aboitiz company, recently signed a P250 million, 7-year term loan with Security Bank Corporation (SBC). Proceeds from
the loan will be utilized for the expansion of its swine breeder farm operations in Capas, Tarlac.
Pilmico Foods Corporation Grants Station 3 Building to PNP-Iligan
Pilmico Foods Corporation turned-over to Iligan City's Philippine National Police the Station 3
building on March 8, 2007 at Tag-Ibo, Dalipuga, Iligan City. The ceremony began with the blessing of
the structure by Mssr. Leo Laviste,followed by the MOA signing.

The BIR’s Large Taxpayers District Office (LTDO) - Cebu once again recognized
Aboitiz-owned flour milling company,
Pilmico Foods Corporation, as one of the Top 3 Highest Taxpayers in 2006.

Aboitiz unit Pilmico Foods Corporation signs on Dutch firm Ottevanger
Milling Engineers B.V. for the supply, installation and commissioning of
equipment for the new feedmill that will be built in Iligan this year.
Aboitiz gives up
stake in food JV
Pilmico Foods Corp. (Pilmico), a subsidiary of listed holdings
company Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV), yesterday said it sold
its stake in Pilmico-Mauri Foods Corp. (Pilmico-Mauri) for 100
million to ABF Overseas Ltd. (ABF Overseas).

The fragrance remains in the hand of those who gives the rose. The
experience of Cebu Pilmico employees, when they celebrated their
44th anniversary at the Cebu Hope Center last September 9, was
indeed an unforgettable one.
Our Passion to Nourish
Through the years, we have been known not only as producers of high
quality bakery ingredients for the Filipino consumers but we have
also been active in promoting consumption of nutritious baked goods
that will nourish both the mind and body. As part of this campaign,
we introduced “Mabuhay Tinapay” during the Iligan town fiesta last
September 28 at Pryce Place.

PILMICO - 12 YEARS of GRANTING
SCHOLARSHIP
As part of its commitment to help improve the lives of Iligan City
residents, Pilmico Foods Corporation in partnership with Aboitiz
Group Foundation, Inc is now on its 12th year of granting
scholarships to financially challenged high school graduating
students belonging to the top 20% of their class with a grade
weighted average of at least 85% and no grade below 80%.

donates 2-classroom building
Pilmico Foods Corporation in partnership with Vice Mayor Henry Dy
and Lanao Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (LCCCI) donated
a 2-classroom building to Northeast II-A Central School at Dalipuga,
Iligan City. The turn-over ceremony held on March 26, 2008 was
attended by Atty. Alan Macaraya, Regional Director of Department of
Labor and Employment – Region X who initiated this project.
