  Butter/Margarine 90 g
II Refine Sugar 90 g
  Powdered Sugar 90 g
  Gold Star Pastry Flour 100 g

Method: No time Dough

Procedure:

  1. Mix toppings; set aside
  2. Mix dough until develop then form into baston, cut to desired size;
  3. Wet dough then roll into toppings; Arranged into baking tin;
  4. Proof for 1.5 hours or until double in size
  5. Bake at 350F for 15 to 20 minutes

Royal Icing:

Procedure:
 

  1. Beat the egg white until frothy
  2. Gradually beat in half the sugar using a woodenspoon.
  3. Add the lemon juice and the glycerine and half the remaining sugar;
  4. Beat well until smooth and very white
  5. Gradually beat in enough of the remaining sugar to give a consistency which will just stand in soft peaks;
  6. Put in an airtight container or cover the bowl with a damp cloth and leave for several hours, if possible, to allow most of the air bubbles to come to the surface and burst;
  7. The icing is now ready for use and can be thickened, if necessary, with more sifted icing sugar or thinned down with lightly beaten egg white
