Chocolate Chunk Brownies (make 16 brownies) |

Ingredients:
4 squares (1ounce/28g each) unsweetened chocolate, coarsely
chopped
½ cup (125mk) butter or margarine
2 large eggs
1 /14 cups (312) granulated sugar
1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla
½ cup (125ml) Wooden Spoon All-purpose flour
½ teaspoon (2ml) salt
6 ounces (165 g) white baking bar, cut into 1/4 –inch (6mm)
pieces
½ cup (125mm) coarsely chopped walnuts (optional) |

- Preheat oven to 350F
(180C). Grease 8-inch (20 cm) square baking pan; set
aside.
- Melt unsweetened
chocolate and butter in small, heavy saucepan over low
heat, stirring constantly; set aside.
- Beat eggs in large
bowl with electric mixer at medium speed 30 seconds.
Gradually add granulated sugar, beating at medium
speed about 4 minutes until very thick and lemon color.
- Beat in chocolate
mixture and vanilla. Beat in flour and salt at low
speed just until blend. Stir in baking bar pieces and
walnuts with mixing spoon. Spread batter evenly into
prepared baking pan.
- Bake 30 minutes or
until edges just begin to pull away from sides of pan
and center is set.
- Remove pan to wire
rack; cool completely. Cut into 2-inch (5cm) squares.
Place powdered sugar in fine-mesh strainer; sprinkle
over brownie, if desired.
- Store tightly covered
at room temperature or freeze up to 3 months
