Battle wounded & differently-abled soldiers from the Philippine army,  to get bakery training from Pilmico

Aboitiz Foundation Inc. in cooperation with the Government Relations department of Aboitiz Equity Ventures (AEV) and Pilmico Foods Corporation, inked a partnership to facilitate the bakery management training of wounded and differently-abled soldiers from the Philippines Army’s Special Operations Command (SOCOM).

The bakery training will re-equip the soldiers or the Noble Bakers with essential baking skills which will enable them to actively contribute to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the community where they serve.

Held at Pilmico’s Research and Training Bakery, the signing was attended by AEV Government Relations First Vice President DJ Sta. Ana, Aboitiz Foundation AVP for Operations Danny Cerence, SOCOM Foundation OIC President Col. Leodevic Guinid and SOCOM Col. Reynaldo Aquino.

A total of 60 soldiers from SOCOM will undergo Bakery Management training in Pilmico in the following months to learn key baking topics including: wheat milling, bread & load production, bakery calculations as well as hands-on baking of bread, pastries, noodles, cookies and cakes.
