Sta. Barbara, Iloilo—In a move to empower communities through sustainable livelihoods, Pilmico Foods Corporation (Pilmico), an Aboitiz Foods company, partnered with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. – Microfinance (RAFI-MFI) and Aboitiz Foundation Inc. to hold a turnover ceremony for Egg Machine Livelihood kits in Iloilo. As part of RAFI-MFI’s Padayon sa Pagbusay (Paddle Unceasingly) program, which supports families in the Visayan region recovering from the impact of Typhoon Odette, Pilmico and RAFI-MFI distributed livelihood kits to help affected families rebuild their lives and start small businesses.
The event took place at the RAFI-MFI Office in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo, where they turned over egg machine livelihood kits to three selected beneficiaries from Miag-ao, Tigbauan, and Pototan, Iloilo. Each kit included 144 ready-to-lay hens, two months’ worth of Pilmico Feeds, animal health products, egg weighing scales, and access to continuous technical support, with each package valued at ₱175,000 per beneficiary.
